This is the Tuskegee Logo. Tuskegee Founder, Charles H. Yarfoh feels that knowledge is power and wants to show that education will allow his students to give back to his country by sharing what they learn with their villages.

Tuskegee International School believes that an investment in a child’s education pays the best dividends, therefore our doors are open to children from all walks of life. A child need not be from a wealthy home to attend the Tuskegee International School, a parent just have to be deeply committed to the quality of the child’s education and life

Our approach to education is based on the fact that both children and adults learn best through experience and the process of independent discovery. Our curriculum has unusual substance and depth, yet we do not place undue stress on academic competition for grades. Our students learn side-by-side at their own pace, striving to the highest limits of their ability.

The compound at Tuskegee is in a U-shape. Children from nursery up through 9th grade attend. Any child is welcome to attend Tuskegee regardless of whether they can pay fees or not. The criteria for attending Tuskegee is the willingness of the student to learn all that they can and that parents show they value education by sending their children to school on a regular basis. Presently Tuskegee has an enrollment of 220 students.

Although Tuskegee began in 1998, the construction of its buildings is a slow process. As Tuskegee gets donations, it allows the school to grow.

Tuskegee students are proud of their school and like to learn. When asked what their favorite subject is, they reply: Reading.

When supplies are available they love to draw and make pictures of things about their country and their villages.

The second floor of this structure will be devoted to the school library. There will be a veranda for the children to sit on where they can read books and learn.
