I am not exclusively an art teacher. Working for the Toronto Catholic School Board, I am obliged to teach art, english, drama, dancing, math, history, geography, science, physical education and religion. I've been doing this for close to 30 years, and I've survived it with some of my hair still in place.
Yes, I do have a life. I also enjoy traveling around the world, not so much to learn about new cultures, but to learn more about myself. My greatest accomplishment was climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro - at 44yrs of age. Concerts and theatrical productions also have the power to lift me up. Favorite group - The Beatles. Favorite city - Las Vegas.
The painting above is another that used to be located at the entrance to my classroom. It's a bit over the top, but if there has to be one person in this world of 7 billion people who thinks I'm the greatest, it might as well be me.
